I finally got around to getting a quote and it was going to cost $150 for the repair service. Too much. So I decided to go for it and do it myself. I ordered a replacement screen for $15 from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.repairsuniverse.com\/ipod-video-lcd-screen-replacement.html\">Repairs Universe<\/a> and followed the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ifixit.com\/Guide\/iPod+5th+Generation+%28Video%29+Display+Replacement\/612\">iPod 5th Generation Display Replacement<\/a> repair guide from iFixIt.
